Indigenous students
Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE is one of Australia's leading providers of training to Indigenous people, delivering more than a quarter of all vocational education and training provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in Queensland. The institute is TAFE Queensland's Lead Centre for Indigenous training. Almost one in five of all Tropical North Queensland TAFE graduates are Indigenous Australians.
Students can train on campus, in communities, in the workplace or via flexible delivery through a dedicated Indigenous faculty, the Faculty of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.
